Quinta do Correio

Another bespoke wine from the Dao region of Portugal, where Luis Lorenco, Maths Teacher turned Winemaker, ploughs his trough at the flagship property Quinta dos Roques.  A pioneer and trailblazer for his region and its indigenous grape varieties he has produced a range of quality wines from the likes of Jaen, Encruzado and Touriga Nacional.
The Quinta do Correio is a blend of 5 local grapes, vibrant purply red wine with a nose of herbs, black fruits and a light smoky note.  The berry fruit follows through on the palate and it's all backed by some good rounded tannins.  Great bbq  wine.
