A dead ringer for top quality, premium priced vintage champagne. I know it's anecdotal but I have a customer who holds a New Year's Eve multiple choice part blind champagne tasting. They know the wines they are drinking - from a list - but not the order of serving. Pitched against Bollinger Grande Annee, Tattinger Comtes de Champagne and Alfred Gratien NV, they all - to a man and a woman - opted for the 98 Nyetimber as the wine that exhibited the deepest, finest, longest, most complex aromas and flavours; and therefore, must be either the Bollinger or the Taittinger!
Personally it reminds me of a 1990 from Henriot - Cuvee des Enchanteleurs. The 98 Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs stretches the imagination, coming from Sussex, England and delivering such incredible quality at the price. Taste and believe!
Presented in a 2 bottle wooden box with green satin lining, Nyetimber imprinted on the lid and a tasting note card.
