Classically proportioned wine from New Zealand's top producer (ref Tom Stevenson's 'Wine Report 2009'. This is a Sauvignon with vitality and style - some very bright green nettley notes offset with just the right amount of fruit, not overblown. A small proportion of the wine is fermented in barrel to add just a hint of richness. Released later than the average NZ sauvignon to give the wine a little time to evolve and soften.
