Exceptional wine with a concentration of vibrant black berry fruit flavours that excite the palate - the best thing about this wine is the way in which the depth of flavour is perfectly balanced against a lovely, lively acidity. Hints of chocolate reveal a Chateauneuf like character, but considerably less expensive.
Interestingly, there are other wines from the South of France in the same vintage that seem to share similar qualities of depth and balance, one being Chateau St Roch from Chimeres, an area close to Perpignan, just a short distance from the border with Spain.
